new plans are As of June 2022, the Memorial Society of Edmonton & District was absorbed by the Cooperative Memorial Society, to become a provincial organization. All members of the MSED automatically became members of the CMS. Everyone with an email address was sent a welcome letter and confirmation of membership. If you have a MSED membership but have not added your email address, please send it to us here. All the past benefits of MSED membership will continue including the special pricing offered by the three funeral service providers that have agreements with MSED. There will be no extra membership fees for the transfer of membership to CMS. Updated contracts with these service providers will be negotiated in 2023. Until new plans are posted on this page, these plans are considered current.

Foster and McGarvey
We are a premiere funeral home in the Edmonton area with three large and recently renovated facilities. We serve Edmonton and the surrounding 50 km so we are confident that in the Edmonton area CMS members have good options for having services and convenient places to make arrangements. We also offer online arrangement services if that is what a family would wish rather than coming into a location. We have two cremation centres so we can expedite cremations quickly. Families can choose to view before cremation or have a small service right at our centres or have larger service with cremation to follow at our Southside location. This location also offers a gorgeous Commemoration Centre. We own a full fleet of vehicles and many licensed professionals so we can do many services and arrangements with ease.
